Great campground in a quiet part of the white mountains on a nice lake with hiking trails. Thickly wooded with great septation between sites.
Not kid friendly no playground no showers no swimming no running space not tent friendly each lot is full of rocks they open the doors to the toilets durijg the day so the smell is horrid they dont put lime in the bsthroom either to brake down the smell "thier not alloud" you cant swim due to leeches in the water next to no fish either also quite time is 10pm so god for bid your child wakes up from a nightmare you get complaints to quite down no more they two cars per camp site I had a visitor to drop off supply's they were parked no more then five min and someone complained and the Nazi came and told em to move more then three complaints you gets kicked out and the sites are on top of each other also there's nothing around the area...

The view is stunning but the water is FULL of leeches so beware when swimming!
I just read the previous review and had to add my two cents. I've been camping in the White Mountains for over fifty years and Basin Campground is one of our three favorites. It's small, quiet, and I actually think it has some pretty nice sites and we are tent campers. Basin Pond is absolutely stunning........leaches are a part of cold mountain ponds !! The eastern edge of the Whites are beautiful and in my mind a little less hectic than the rest so I guess if you're looking for Yogi's Fun Park than you may want to look else where but if you're a true camper, you owe it to yourself to stay here for a couple of nights and hike up to the rim for a real glorious site !!.......I'll be up there tomorrow afternoon and can hardly wait !!!
